Michelle Chand-Aubry Counselling in Uxbridge

Counsellor based in Uxbridge, West London

Welcome

Firstly, thank you for visiting my website. I hope you find the information provided on all pages informative and encouraging in making your decision about future plans. Identifying and feeling the need to reach out suggests that you may be ready for a change in your feelings, thoughts and/ or circumstances with some external, professional support. You can learn more as you read on about how I can support you, the benefits of counselling, and the process of counselling before deciding to get in touch.

I would consider myself to be an experienced, warm and genuine therapist who can form a rapport quickly with my clients for a good professional relationship to develop and good work to follow. I will provide a safe, confidential and comfortable working space for us to meet. My aim is to empower you and support whatever you would like to discuss in an empathic and non judgemental manner.

I am an experienced CBT therapist (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) having practise this for the last 15 years in various areas around West London. However, I am an Integrative Counsellor / Therapist using CBT Counselling, Humanistic Counselling and Psychodynamic Counselling approaches in Uxbridge & Hayes in West London. . As we are all unique individuals, so too will be what approaches suit our work the best. I have included a brief explanation on these different approaches in the "Useful Information" page.

For the last 15 years I have worked around West London within substance misuse addictions services, drugs and alcohol to be precise, using CBT therapy daily. In my last role in this field I managed a borough-wide treatment service consisting of many teams, one of which was a counselling service. I feel I have learnt a great deal about a client's experience of counselling and hope you feel that I have reflected this in the information provided as you read on i.e. breakdown of stages of counselling and FAQ. Through this work platform, I have found myself and my teams offering support for a wide range of other underlying issues equally as people were predominantly using drugs and/ or alcohol to cope with these or self-medicate. These have included depression, anxiety, stress, poor mental health, relationship problems, identity issues, past trauma, bereavement and loss to name a few (full list on next page "About Me").

Though my practise as a Counsellor based in Uxbridge, I see people from surrounding areas within West London such as Hayes, Hillingdon, Ruislip, Northolt, Southall, Greenford, West Drayton, and Harrow and other nearby areas due to the excellent road and transport links - direct buses and Metropolitan & Piccadilly lines that come into Uxbridge town centre.
(counselling therapy rooms are 1-minute walk from the station).

Please feel free to phone on 07376 266 181 for an initial discussion or email me using the above link to book an initial appointment. It is important that you choose someone to work with that you feel comfortable with and feel you could trust so if there are any unanswered questions, please contact me.
